Every week the folks at Prime Pool do a fantastic job on our pool in Great Hills. Anytime there's an issue with our weekly service, they work quickly to fix it (though there are rarely problems). Repairs are excellent and only advised when it's clear they're absolutely necessary.

Our weekly tech is smart, thorough and friendly. Last week he was concerned that the guys who filled in for him the week before had failed to notice some algae growth, so he paused his work to ask me if I was satisfied, and then he called them in front of me (no algae, it was just floral detritus).

We were also impressed by the way Prime communicated with us about the chlorine shortage, and their transparency regarding the minor price increase necessitated by that shortage.   As a first time pool owner, I had zero experience with pool maintenance. I searched for companies around town that offered maintenance services and reached out to several. I ended up going with Prime Pool Service because they were extremely quick to respond, could fit me in faster than anyone else, and were extremely pleasant to correspond with. I've been on the board of our HOA for over 10 years and we've had our share of pool companies come and go and had to yet find one that at least met our expectations. Well, our quest is done because we are so happy with Prime Pools. We have a half size olympic pool with 5 swim lanes and a kiddie pool which were all built 1996. The equipment in our pool pump house was severely damaged by the recent freeze. Prime Pool not only repaired the broken equipment, but went above and beyond sweeping and cleaning the pump house in addition to replacing other components that would have probably failed during the summer pool season. The met with me to review the options and get to an agreement on time frame and price. The approach the took to get it fixed once and do it right from the get go is going to save us the inconvenience of having to deal with shutting down the pool during repairs and also risking the pool chemistry to go out of whack. But there is more! After they were done with the repairs, we sat down and discussed what options were available to us towards reducing power consumption, improving filtration and perhaps upgrading from chlorine tablets to salt water chlorinators. They provided me with quotes for the work together with estimated power savings. That information will come in very handy as we set next year's budget. As of this email, our pool is crustal clear and I do not recall a time in the past 4 years that it has been so clear.   We have been using Prime Pool's services for 4 months now and have been very happy with them. In my opinion, they are fairly priced for the service you receive. They have wonderful communication skills and are punctual with returning calls and emails. They also alert us if they notice anything with our pool. They keep our pool in wonderful condition! We have multiple large trees around our pool that drop alot of leaves into the water. The employee who cleans our pool always stays as long as he has to to do a thorough job. I personally like the fact they also handle our pool repairs. They fixed our heater and installed a clorinater. Both were done promptly and they even came back on a separate visit to walk us through working the heater. Since we have small children, we like the fact that they use as few harsh chemicals as possible. All of their employees are very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Just jumped on with Prime this past week and been very happy so far. I was extremely impressed that Mike actually insisted on coming to my home (same day) and wanting to really understand my pool before just giving me a quote on weekly service. Very professional. We use Prime Pool Service for our weekly service, which we're happy with. But I'd like to post this recommendation based on our experience using them for various repairs. We had several issues with our pool that we needed to get addressed before we put our house on the market. Prime Pool Service was able to address all of them from replacing our lights, installing a new filter, and some other plumbing changes. They even made some recommendations that saved us money on the repairs. All the work had great quality and was completed on time. I allowed the swimming pool to get out of balance due to a leak in the pump. Trying to correct the algae problem I over medicated the water, and it came time that I could no longer clear of the pool. As I was scheduled to be unavailable for a long period of time I decided to enlist a pool company to take over. Prime Pool Service was very responsive. They came out quickly, gave me a reasonable quote which included having to drain the entire pool and replace the water and fix any leaks that they discovered in the process. I've been using Prime Pool Service for several months and the service has been fairly good. I complained about the tech doing my pool so much (and regularly) they finally replaced him with Matt, our current tech. Matt actually took time with my pool yesterday and did what he was supposed to do-empty baskets, empty our bottom dweller and add chemicals to the pool. He added some water to the pool and checked the pump to make sure it was running correctly. These are things I EXPECT to be done. The previous tech spent maybe ten minutes per visit and skipped a large part of the maintenance he was supposed to be doing. Matt is great and I hope he actually stays my tech. So after I posted this review I got an email from the owner of Prime Pool. He sent an email I was supposed to have received explaining why the pool service was going up.

The explanation made sense, the hurricanes in Lake Charles last fall damaged the chlorine plant and created a shortage driving the price up. Nice to have an explanation. I can not prove that I did not receive this email but I do not believe we received it. He said she said? Maybe we did maybe we didn't. At least I know why prices went up.

Prime was contracted by Pentair to do warranty work on three LED lights that had become defective. Communication with the office and the technician Graham was extremely easy and straight forward. Graham came by and on the same visit replaced all three lights which is a tedious job. It requires fishing the new lights through underground conduits from the old light cables. It also required him jumping in the water which was quite cold (65'ish degrees).

I was surprised at how fast they were and that they could knock it out in a single visit. He cleaned up all his work as if nobody was ever there and he followed up via email afterwards.

I’ve gone a long route in the road to pool service. I’ve attempted to manage it myself ( badly)
I’ve tried many different pool services. That has been quite an adventure. Too often I’ve found that the service was spotty, many times the pool person not showing or simply doing a run and gun approach.
It was very frustrating.
Then I tried Prime. Frankly I was skeptical, Mike the owner came out and gave an itemized list of fixes due to the mismanagement of my pool and we fixed these items in steps.
I was first amazed with the results from one of the simplest they adjusted the flow in my pool and my pool which tends to accumulate leaves became so much easier to keep clean.
When my pump went out, as it tended to do about once a year, they recommended a change in brand and I have a pump that has lasted longer and is quieter than any before.
Their service is good their pool people reliable and informative.
I finally feel we’re a team now not just a money source.

Great service. I had some troubles with another company replacing my pool pump and was in the process of selling my house. I called Prime Pool Service and they went out of there way to come out the same day I called (Friday) and told me they'd be back Monday morning and they were here at 8:00 AM sharp and had everything up and running perfectly in a few hours. Well, I don't know how they do it, but Prime Pool Service is still providing their customers with the BEST service in Austin. (Which is amazing, considering all of the labor shortages and supply chain problems we're dealing with.) Cameron, Cody, Jeremy, and the rest of their folks are simply wonderful. Been using Prime for 3 months. Bought an older home with an older pool and the gentleman that came out to help inspect the Old Pool was very helpful. He did not try to sell me like the 3 other companies did. Old parts but all working and he said don't fix until it breaks. They clean my pool weekly and have a very friendly staff.
